StoryCorps App Showcased on Starbucks Digital Network

StoryCorps is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of their lives. With more than 40,000 interviews from nearly 80,000 participants, StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind.

Early in 2010, Bottle Rocket and StoryCorps partnered together to create an app that would further the reach of these stories. The app streams the latest stories and enables users to share their favorites with friends and family via email, Facebook and Twitter. The StoryCorps app has been a great success and was recently selected by Apple to be showcased on the Starbucks Digital Network.

This newly launched network is accessible when connected to the free Starbucks Wi-Fi at one of the stores nationwide. Once connected, the welcome screen loads automatically and serves up a collection of premium news, entertainment and lifestyle content along with local insights and events. The network was designed to be accessible on the device of your choice – laptop, tablet or smartphone – to further the enjoyment of the coffeehouse experience.

Download the StoryCorps app now and begin the journey of finding and sharing your favorite stories!
