Rocketeer Charity: Rocketeers Support Big Brothers Big Sisters

Here it is the middle of September and so far, the month has gotten off to a great start at Bottle Rocket! The kids are all back in school, we've launched some exciting new apps and we've recently had our first charity drawing of the month. For anyone new to our blog, we Rocketeers enter charities near and dear to our hearts into a drawing and then one is selected twice a month. Charities are a big part of our Rocketeer culture, as we believe in the importance of contributing to our community.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters in Dallas, entered by Rocketeer Brock Hardman, is the recipient of our latest drawing. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor-supported volunteer organization whose mission is to provide mentors to America's youth. The group has been connecting adults and youth to provide one-to-one mentoring since 1927. The positive impact on these kids has proven to dissuade them from using drugs and alcohol and encourage them to graduate from high school.

Brock got involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters a while back and was deeply moved by his experience and the difference the organization makes on the youth. If you or anyone you know would like to get involved with this and experience something truly rewarding, click here to find out how you can contribute!
