The guys at TouchMic.com have done it again. Another great product that works perfectly with Voxie on the iPod Touch 2nd Gen or 3G iPhone.
The MityMic is both cool looking and very functional. If you need to conduct interviews, record lectures/meetings or even take simple voice memos with minimal sound interference, then the MityMic is the perfect companion for your iPod Touch.
This mic plugs snugly into your iPod Touch’s 3.5mm jack (just snug enough allowing for a full 360 degree adjustment into any position). It’s designed as to extend away from the iPod Touch just enough as to not to pick up vibrations interference from base of the Touch.
A professional grade windscreen foam is included to protect your MityMic from excessive moisture. It helps to eliminate “pops” and noise at high volumes and windy environments. The gold plated 3.5mm jack allows for top-of-the-line signal transmission.
While the MityMic was designed for the 2nd Gen iPod Touch, you can also use it on your 3G iPhone (not original iPhone due to its recessed headphone jack). As this post explains, you don’t need an external mic if you have an iPhone, but it’s certainly worth considering if you do a lot of recording and are looking to squeeze out better quality. You should also consider their lapel mic if you’re recoding a lecture and want the mic to be close to your mouth for higher volume.
Don’t forget that you can use Voxie with your 1st Gen iPod Touch too, as explained by this post.
