Bottle Rocket’s 4th App Inducted into Apple Hall of Fame

In 2010, Apple created a new section in the App Store called the “Hall of Fame” to showcase the best apps of the year, both paid and free. Yesterday, Apple released the names of the 2012 Hall of Fame inductees.

We are excited to announce Food Network In The Kitchen is among the 20 apps inducted this year. This makes a total of four Bottle Rocket apps that have been recognized for this prestigious honor. Food Network In The Kitchen joins SPIN Play, The Civil War Today and NPR for iPad.

Food Network In the Kitchen gives you access to your favorite Food Network chefs and thousands of their most popular recipes accompanied with photographs. You can also watch how-to videos, add ingredients to your shopping list, fill a recipe box with your favorites, save your notes, tips and substitutions and so much more.

Congratulations again to our friends and partners at Food Network!

Bottle Rocket Recognized at Inc. Hire Power Awards

The Inc. Hire Power Awards annually salute companies nationwide that are creating jobs and rebuilding the economy by putting Americans back to work. The awards explore fast-growing small and mid-sized private businesses and rank them by industry, state, revenue and percent job growth.

Yesterday, Bottle Rocket was named the #7 top company for percent job growth from 2008 to 2011, growing from 1 employee to 58 respectively. We have continued this growth trajectory through 2012 and currently have 109 of the smartest Rocketeers around. Bottle Rocket was previously recognized in the 2012 Inc. 500 rankings, including third among “Top Software Companies,” seventh among “Top Companies in Texas” and third among “Top Companies in the Dallas Metro Area.”

In total, the companies on this year’s list created more than 73,000 jobs since 2008. We are proud to be among the companies acknowledged, especially as it relates to the contribution to revitalizing the current economy.
