Bottle Rocket Apps Honored as #5 on Top 100 Places to Work in DFW

The Dallas Morning News has recognized Bottle Rocket Apps as one of the Top 100 Places to Work in DFW in 2012. The best places to work list includes 30 large companies, 35 midsized companies and 35 small companies. This is the first time we have been recognized on the Top 100 list and we are thrilled to be ranked #5 in the small company category.

To qualify for the Top 100 list, a company must first be nominated. Next, all of the employees are asked to fill out an anonymous survey to gauge how they feel about their job and workplace. More than 72,000 employees from the DFW area filled out the questionnaire from this year’s Top 100 list. When surveyed, the Rocketeers expressed it is the Bottle Rocket energy and passion that keeps them happy at work!

“Opinions are valued, promises are kept, and integrity and quality are not compromised.”

“This company is truly the real deal with a heart and soul, and we take great measures to stay that way.”

“I get to work with smart, passionate people.”

“Anything is possible here. People are invited to try things and even fail.”

American Red Cross: Our November Charity of the Month

The American Red Cross is a volunteer-led, humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education inside the United States. In addition to these efforts, the American Red Cross has spread to serve internationally and offers their assistance to community services that help the needy, the collection, processing and distribution of blood to those in need, internal relief and development programs, educational programs on health, safety, and preparedness, communication services and comfort for military members and their family.

The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Their network of donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, in the United States and around the world.

This month, Bottle Rocket Apps has chosen to donate to the American Red Cross disaster relief for hurricane Sandy. Many of our clients, friends and families live on the east coast and were impacted by Sandy. We hope our contribution will help bring comfort and resources to those most in need.

After hurricane Sandy, getting supplies, meals and water into affected areas is the top priority. The American Red Cross deployed nearly 8,500 workers from all 50 states to the east coast to help after the storm. They have distributed more than 983,000 relief items such as cleanup kits and hygiene kits, and have served more than 5.6 million meals and snacks to the victims.

The American Red Cross still has a lot of work to do on the east coast and is still asking for donations.
