Bottle Rocket's SPIN Play for iPad Featured in iTunes

Now that iTunes allows for subscriptions, more magazines are putting out iPad apps. The best ones, such as SPIN Play - developed by Bottle Rocket - offer new experiences beyond turning the iPad into a fancy page viewer, and that is one of the reasons that SPIN Play for iPad is featured in iTunes this week.

It's a digital version of the current issue (which you can buy for $1.99 per issue or $7.99 for a year’s subscription), and it includes other features such as:

  • Recent top stories
  • Exclusive behind the scenes videos
  • Playlist of about 60 songs hand-selected by Spin’s music editors
  • Streaming audio with Airplay
  • Ability to download songs

Now you can actually play some of the songs the writers are reviewing, and you can decide which music reviewers share the same musical taste as you.

SPIN Play for iPad, Developed by Bottle Rocket, Now in iTunes

Scalable, non-watermarked

SPIN Play for iPad, developed by Bottle Rocket, is a new concept in music discovery from the publishers of SPIN magazine and SPIN.com. The app is free to download and includes a steady feed of news and reviews delivered directly from SPIN.com.

For $1.99 per edition (or a $7.99 annual subscription), users receive 60-plus streaming songs and 30-plus streaming videos - curated by SPIN's editors - along with the kind of forward-thinking, authoritative editorial (and shareable) content on which SPIN has built its brand.

Bottle Rocket and SPIN have advanced both the magazine brand and art of re-thinking magazines for tablets.

Each edition enables consumers to watch and listen to artists as they read about them, resulting in a totally immersive experience.

Discovery Channel HD for iPad, Developed by Bottle Rocket, Featured in The Daily

In The Daily's App Watch section, they describe the Discovery Channel HD for iPad app as "just...awesome". The app allows you to catch clips of its hit shows such as "Life", Mythbusters" and "Deadliest Catch". What helps make this app so interesting is the many personalities that are integrated into the app, such as Bear Grylls, who subjects himself to self-torture to showcase survival techniques and Mike Rowe who willingly takes on any gross job. An additional bonus is that you can check out upcoming episode schedules.

If you haven't already, download the Discovery Channel HD for iPad app, featured as the #1 iPad app in iTunes and now in The Daily. Bottle Rocket is happy to be a part of such a successful app!
